Concordia University receives anonymous donation for baseball field

Austin, TX- Concordia University Texas recently received a $1.5 million anonymous gift for the school’s new baseball stadium. The largest gift in the university’s athletics history, the money will be used to help Concordia Athletics continue to build its facilities after a campus relocation that recently took place. Since 2008, the baseball team has been playing in off-campus ball parks.

Georgia receives go ahead on football facility update

Athens, GA- The University of Georgia was granted the approval of a $40 million upgrade to its football facility-the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall. The upgrade, which is expected to take 18-24 months, will increase the size of the building as well as create new coaches offices, meeting rooms and a new weight training facility. The overall project will increase the size of the building by 54,000 square feet and enhance the Georgia Football Program.

Maryland Tyser Tower expansion right on time

College Park, MD- The University of Maryland‘s renovation of their football stadium is nearing completion of its first stage of upgrades. The new tower, which is built around the south concourse of the stadium, will now hold 64 luxury suites, additional seating, and more functional areas for the football staff and media. The athletics department is promoting the build through the continual updating of photo galleries and online articles detailing the progress.

The University of West Georgia stadium to open this fall

Carrollton, GA- The University of West Georgia is nearing completion of their brand new football stadium which will be a part of a $34 million, 250-acre athletics complex. The campaign, which is promoted through various avenues, including a link on the front page of the universities main website, will also provide the school with administrative offices, a softball field, a soccer field and two football practice fields. The hope is through the creation of this facility, the university will become a destination for students both academically and athletically.
